Sons of Scotland’s most famous whisky writer complete 14,000km non-stop Pacific Ocean row

Charlie Maclean and his sons Ewan, Jamie and Lachlan

Trio of Scottish Maclean brothers set new speed record for non-stop unassisted team row from Peru to Australia on the Rare Whisky 101 Pacific Row

It took a record-breaking 139 days, five hours and 52 minutes for Ewan, Jamie and Lachlan Maclean to row non-stop across the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean. Setting off from Lima in Peru and finishing in Cairns in Australia, it’s the largest expanse of water on the planet and a journey of 14,000 km (9,000 miles).
