A Roe & Co trio plus a roundup of our new arrivals

A trio of new whiskies have rebuilt the famous Roe & Co whiskey brand near its original home in Dublin

The name Roe & Co once heralded the very best of Irish whiskey making but since its closure in 1926, little was heard of the distillery that was once the largest by output in Ireland or Britain.

In 2019, Diageo brought the brand back to Dublin's centre, not far from where it once stood. While it’s not the original building, the former brewery powerhouse that is now home to the whiskey maker has been transformed into a remarkably attractive distillery building. Situated just across the road from the Guinness Storehouse, it’s a natural stroll from one Diageo visitor experience to another.

Macallan Double Cask – 10% OFF | Code: BOTW | Valid from Tuesday, Aug 13th – Tuesday, August 20th

Macallan 18 is a wonderful addition to the Double Cask lineup. Matured in both American and European sherry-seasoned oak casks, it marries the sweetness of the American oak with the spice of the European variant.

Vanilla reaches through the layers of this rich and vibrant whisky, bringing sweetness and warmth to the malt. Notes of ginger, caramel and orange carry the aroma, followed by a palate of dark fruit, toffee, spice and citrus.

Ginger hits the finish, driving lots more citrus notes, turning to a distinct orange layer.
