Redbreast 21 - not the eldest but still the boss

Redbreast 21

Redbreast 21 is no longer the eldest of the famous Irish whiskey family, but it remains at the centre of the single pot still landscape

Anyone who discovered Redbreast in recent years may not be aware of the prestige position the elegant 21-year-old bottling holds in this noble family of Irish whiskey.

Over the past decade, Redbreast has expanded its offerings, releasing multiple special editions and one-off bottlings of increasingly older and more flavour-packed expressions. Each of these bottlings has its own story to tell, but the flash of modernity created by new cask types like the Redbreast Twany Port release, or the extra-vintage ageing of Redbreast 27, has never quite eclipsed the 21-year-old.

Twin purchase: buy Highland Park 18 Single Cask release and receive the distillery’s core 18-year-old for free

Our single cask Highland Park 18 is an exemplary bottle, and one of only 515 created in an exclusive collaboration between Highland Park Distillery and the Single Malt Shop. Distilled in 2002, it was matured in a refill butt and bottled in 2021 at 57.4% ABV.

This release lifts the already globally-recognised Highland Park 18 to another level, with its maturation in a hand-selected cask that was chosen to amplify and perfect the signature flavour of the Highland Park range.

Now, in an incredible celebration of Highland Park’s work, and for a limited time, everyone who buys the single cask release at its new price will also receive a core bottling of the distillery’s 18-year-old.
