Redbreast 12 – the original lead in a world-beating whiskey lineup

Redbreast 12 - the bird feeder edition

Despite the stellar performance of its older siblings, Redbreast 12 remains a firm favourite with fans of Ireland’s most famous single pot still

Redbreast is the single most-awarded Irish whiskey family in the world. There are now 11 members of this esteemed family, not including the special edition metal bird feeder bottling of Redbreast 12. Its popularity is outstanding and no one could have imagined just how far it would travel when it was first poured under the Redbreast name back in 1912.

Since then there has only been one break in sales – a six-year gap from 1985 to 1991 when the brand changed hands and was relaunched by its current owners, Irish Distillers. It was from this launch that the entire world-beating family grew.
