Detour to a new corner of Ireland for St Patrick's Day: our four-pour Irish whiskey flight
Take time to pour something a little less ordinary this St Patrick’s Day with our four-pour flight of lesser-known Irish whiskey releases
Ireland’s whiskey landscape has become so successful so quickly that it can sometimes be hard to choose among all the latest releases and new cask combinations.
Here’s our four-pour flight to celebrate St Patrick’s day.
Bushmills 2002 Vermouth – 10% OFF | Valid from Tuesday, Mar 11th – Tuesday, Mar 18th
Vermouth is a wonderfully transformative finish for an Irish whiskey. Its herbal elements blend beautifully with the sweet and smooth personality of triple-distilled Irish. It brings an edge to the liquid and creates a wonderful aroma.
This is a 20-year-old single malt that spent 18 of those years in ex-bourbon and sherry before its two-year-long deep dive into a vermouth cask. On the palate this has created lots of sweet honey, roses, zesty mandarin orange with darks fruit notes and almonds.
This is a full-bodied whiskey with a rich and warming fruitcake presence that coats the throat to the finish. Bottled at 48.2%.
