Bushmills 12 stakes its claim at the heart of the Irish whiskey family
Already a hit in the US and Asia, the arrival of Bushmills 12 and its Marsala finish in the core lineup at the Northern Irish distillery makes the brand more appealing than ever
Twelve is a magic number in whiskey. Redbreast has long held the crown in Ireland with its hugely popular 12-year-old single pot still release, but there’s rarely been a single malt equivalent on this whiskey-soaked island.
Connemara 12 and The Irishman, two fantastic 12-year-old Irish single malts, have both held serious ground at this vintage. However, neither has quite captured the imagination in the way that Redbreast has done for single pot still.
Bushmills has now put its weight behind its own 12-year-old, but not before giving it serious training overseas.
