The Antiquary series is a collection of premium blends and one of the oldest brands in Scotland. Existing since the late 1880s, it’s now been revived and relaunched by its new owners, Tomatin. Blending three whisky types: Highland and Speyside malts with a Lowland grain whisky, Tomatin has created a terrific series of aged blends. 

This 21-year-old is a superb example of what the series offers: a high malt content and extra-long maturation in European oak. Aged in rich Tawny port casks from the Symington Family Estate in Portugal, it’s bottled at 43%. This deeply flavoured pour promises layers of dark fruit, vanilla and sweet biscuit on the palate and aroma.
