Mortlach 13 is a cask strength virgin and refill American oak-matured single malt from the Beast of Dufftown. Despite the absence of Mortlach’s usual sherry maturation, this 55.9% Speysider comes packed with flavour. It was released as part of the 2021 Diageo Special Releases series.

Richly layered, fans herald its zesty and summer fruit personality and attractive herbal notes. These slowly reveal the oak spice, chocolate and redcurrants on the palette that characterise this elegant pour. You’ll find a peppery kick on the finish too and a dash of water will bring more of that herbal note gurgling to the top.
