This terrific single malt is a member of Hunter Laing’s Old Malt Cask series, which the company says they bottle “unashamedly with the connoisseur in mind”. It’s a high-end collection of whisky from across Scotland and each single cask celebrates the very best of what Hunter Laing can discover.

Matured entirely in refill sherry butts, this Speyside single cask produced just 750 bottles at 50% ABV, each brimming with aromas of tropical fruit, baked pies and dark cherries. With a palate rich in notes of creamy toffee, soft oak and nutmeg it’s balanced with walnut and black pepper on the finish. A superb independent bottling.
