Balancing the Glenmorangie house style with the complexity of French oak and cognac is a delicate endeavour, but one which this 13-year-old bottle achieves with panache. Bottled at 46%, this small-batch release from the Highland whisky maker was a long-held ambition for Dr Bill Lumsden, Glenmorangie’s master distiller. 

Its soft aroma of green apple, cinnamon and plums leads to a multi-layered palate of dark sugar,  almonds, citrus and cloves. It’s an elegant whisky that carries its provenance of Scotland and France with ease, right through to its long and warming finish.
